The Artist

  • A homegrown creative blooming by support from friends & family and imagination
  • Friend to & rescuer of animals since infancy
  • An outdoor aficionado and traveler, constantly yearning to go into & experience this beautiful world we’ve been given
  • Caretaker of a tiny Claude Monet inspired garden/mini-farm
  • Team member at an animal hospital and doing my part to improve the lives of creatures big and small
  • All the while running a very small business and nonprofit venture

Rooted in the midwest, the quest for meaning in art and in life has brought me far from my native Kansas. 31 years of exploring new horizons has brought me to the east coast on multiple occasions, where I now find myself firmly rooted. I’ve traded my urban upbringing for rural bliss without a second thought.

The road goes ever on and on, down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the road has gone, and I must follow if I can.

J. R. R. Tolkien

Roads both figurative and literal have guided me forward over the years. A gifted eye and creative mind enables me to find opportunities even when well hidden; the winding path I’ve taken through life’s wild frontier brought me out of my comfort zone, testing what’s possible, and forging ahead when all seemed lost – in my creative pursuits, my career, and relationships alike.

And so I give this spark of what is light to me,
To guide you through the dark, but not tell you what to see.

It is my hope that what I do can inspire others, and myself, to spend each moment searching for the wonders of life with tireless resolve and youthful abandon.
